FNB Negligence Continued
Good Day,
Firstly, I would like to start by saying that I currently have another Hello Peter complaint opened against FNB. I was advised that it is being investigated and that I will get a response within 48 hours, which should be later today, 24th July 2025. However, I decided that I would wait until Monday, which would give them a week.
I complained on the 17th July 2025 and received automated emails stating acknowledgment of the complaint. However, I still received a mail from Revco which threatened to involve a case manager. I ignored it, thinking that my complaint was still being investigated, but today I received an email stating the below:
"Notification: This serves to advise that a trace alert has been activated on the credit bureau for VIRESH AJOODHA relating to an overdue FNB-CHEQUE account %[Claims.AccountNumber. Urgently contact Revco ***; Email ***, WhatsApp *********x
REVCO Tel: ************ Email: ******x WhatsApp: *********xx"
This is after I sent an email response on the 11th July 2025, which I still have not received a response to. Email below: "Good Day,
Can you please advise where this amount and account comes from as i have had no dealings with FNB since coming of Debt review in 2021, further to this , if there was any amoutns outstanding i highly doubt Transunion would have issued a clearance certificate.
I can remember clearly lodging a complaint to hello peter with regards to FNB not closing the account back in 2021 and it seems that this account was not closed.
Looking forward to your response.
Regards, V"
Is there a break in communication between your departments? This is extremely unprofessional service from one of the biggest banks in SA. I am actually glad that I no longer bank with you guys but I would really appreciate this being sorted out ASAP and that account closed immediately.
Unfortunately, I need to open yet another Hello Peter complaint, but I will not risk my credit score based on FNB's failure to read emails. Further to this, if this account was not being managed, why was I not contacted sooner? It's been 4 years since I had any dealings with FNB
