FNB Nav>Car Service: A poor solution
As many other FNB users, I've been unable to address/resolve my issues regarding my application to renew my license through the FNB Nav>Car service.
Since 29 July 2020 I have been trying to get an update on my application. Failing that, I tried to cancel the service and request a refund, as 2 months went by without any response or delivery of my license. I then filed a complaint through your FNB App, your website and even contacted care@fnb... It is almost 3 months later and FNB has not been able to keep their promise of service delivery within 14 days (give or take 2 weeks in due consideration to the COVID pandemic).
At this point I am unhappy with the Nav>Car service, as well as FNB's general customer service in resolving my complaints.
Known to be a tech savvy bank, I do not accept that FNB forces me to make a phone call to a customer call center. This is not my communication method of choice, as I cannot afford to stay on the phone for long periods of time while I am at work, and unfortunately your banking hours do not allow me to visit/call outside of my office hours. I am sure this is true for many FNB customers.
As FNB's philosophy is based on the desire to help, I would prefer if one of their bankers/officials actually showed some empathy for my situation, and contacted me through email to resolve this issue.
PS: No reference numbers were issued during this whole ordeal.
However, the license disc shows that the renewal was already processed for 30 Sep. 2020. It shouldn't take 22 days then to deliver to the customer.
While I do consideration the fact that this was a new service offered by FNB, I would assume that any new services offered would first go through some kind of quality control. Or at least that the relevant department (a) be more accessible and (b) provide prompt responses when contacted.
