FNB MUST UNFREEZE OUR ACCOUNT: WE WANT OUR MONEY

My husband, a Ghanaian national residing in South Africa since 2010, and I are facing issues with his FNB account. In 2024, while living in South Korea, his FNB app stopped working, and transactions were refused. Despite contacting FNB's support, the issue persisted until he visited a branch in South Africa.

FNB informed him that his account was blocked due to suspected *****, and some funds were already transferred out. The remaining amount, over R1 million, was frozen. We've provided documentation, including proof of income and identification, but FNB continues to withhold our funds without a clear explanation or timeline for release.

FNB recently requested my husband's permanent residency documents, which he app**** for in 2023. These weren't required when he opened the account, and we're unclear why they're now necessary. Our lawyer's efforts have been unsuccessful, and we're concerned about the impact on our financial stability.

We've cooperated with FNB's requests, providing documentation and seeking a resolution. However, the lack of transparency and communication has left us frustrated and uncertain. We request that FNB:

- Provides a detailed explanation for the account blockage and fund freeze - Outlines steps to regain access to our funds - Offers a timeline for resolving this issue

We're available to provide additional information or documentation to facilitate the release of our funds. We hope FNB will take immediate action to address our concerns and provide a satisfactory resolution.

Given the urgency and substantial amount involved, we kindly request priority attention to this matter. We're confident that a prompt resolution can be reached with FNB's assistance.
