FNB MISLEADING AND LYING , INHUMANE TREATMENT, PATHETIC SERVICE

I called FNB on the 19th of November to do a claim for an accidental death cover, by the 22nd of November I had submitted all the documents they asked for. I was advised that the claim will be paid out within 3 to 5 working days, the 3 to 5 days has since lapsed we are now on day 8 but there is still no progress. I have now been told that the claim is being assessed and will take up to14 days for me to get feedback. I first spoke to Tumelo Molotsi, then Lesego Lesego who both said the turnaround time is 3 to 5 working days. I then spoke to Linda today (01/12/2021) who couldn't give me the exact turnaround time but said the process takes longer since the deceased died of unnatural courses. The policy is for accidental death anyway so i don't understand why the fact that the deceased passed on of unnatural courses should even be a factor. After speaking to Linda I then spoke to Lindiwe who then told me the turnaround time is 7 to 14 working days. Why was I told that its 3-5 working days if that is not the truth? Why am I getting different turn around times from different agents? this is not only upsetting but it just goes to show that FNB does not care at all, why was I given false/misleading information in the first place? I was told that they are busy with investigations, I don't understand what more information is needed here. Every single document was submitted including documents from the police. To me this just looks like FNB is just coming up with a million excuses not to pay the claim and if that's the case then they just need to say so instead of coming up with million excuses and reasons that do not make sense. It sad how FNB is now adding on to the grief of a bereaved family, extremely inhumane and unsympathetic
