FNB making stupid demands

Good Afternoon

I realise I am going to write a lot, but take the time to read this. A few weeks ago I opened a premier cheque account online wih FNB on the cellphone app. It was approved immediately and I was asked to submit my payslip on the app, only. I did. This was that. This week Monday I was contacted by a Nicole Strydom, as I was busy she asked me if she can send me an email. The email stated that I now must submit my proof of residence, I’m a FNB customer, it is already on file) and my ID card which is also on file. I was told in this email that I still have that if they do not receive the documents in 24 hours after receiving the email (they will put my profile on hold and I won’t be able to process any transactions). I’m a manager of a big retail store, I do not always have the time to read my emails, what if I didn’t see this email within the 24 hours? I was seriously upset that FNB chose to send me such a threatening email. I have no debt with FNB nor do I owe them any money of any sort. I have enough pressure at work, I don’t need my bank to send me such emails if I didn’t do anything wrong, giving me deadlines like this. I saw the email late at night. I rep**** to Nicole, attaching the documents. I also said that I’m not impressed with this type of threatening email. It doesn’t matter how you look at it, FNB has not right to make these type of demands. I owe them nothing, not cent.

I said on my email to Nicole that I want all my accounts closed in FNB within 24 hours or I will start complaining on every social media platform possible and that she has no right to threaten me or make demands on an email like this (which looks like something that FNB just sends, I don't believe that she actually typed it out). She phoned me the next morning, did not even apologise and said she understands where I’m coming from. She then told me she will close my premier cheque account and will send communication to have other account closed. I only had to move out my funds which I did immediately. Well it’s the 14th today and my accounts are active. I even received an email now congratulating me on my cheque account that I’ve opened. I have no intention to deal with a bank that operates like this. It’s unreal, I just don’t understand this type of service from FNB. I mean I do not have credit card accounts, or overdrafts. You have no foot to stand on by sending such emails. So why do it? I just don’t understand. Nicole Strydom needs to think more, she could have dealt with this differently. Anyhow so my accounts are still open so Nicole couldn’t close my account in 24 hours nor could she close it in 48 hours and we’re going on 72 hours. And to think this is the year where I’m making huge financial purchases and I was planning on to do it with FNB. Well sorry, now you won’t take part in it due to silly automated emails being sent that no one takes the time to read and comprehend. Now , as I type this I get a message that a transaction on my account has been declined due to insufficient funds. Now I ask you, since Nicole told me I need to empty my account so they can close it and I do not have any debit orders on this account, you want to make sure I default and get a bad credit score or something? I'm not sure if it's due to the cheque account since I said I don't have debit orders.....at all. So I don't know what transaction didn't go through and I actually left the account with R3. I transfered R130 into the fnb account now so that I don't get silly messages like this. I have a prestine credit record, I don't need somoene from FNB messing it up for me. I need someone to phone me regarding all of this, pronto!
