FNB making money during this crises (pandemic) by a forced use of their FNB App ******* !!

I received an email from WesBank (car finance) advising that I have been provisionally approved for financial relief as a result of COVID-19. The email detailed steps to follow on the FNB app to apply. I used my online banking via my Lap top to follow the steps to apply but hit a snag each time. i eventually called them this morning and spoke to the usual useless call center people.

it appears that one can only access this financial assistance application if you download the FNB App. i was advised that only once the App is downloaded that one can apply. my view is simple who is benefiting from the download, who is benefiting from this app and why the need to have the App in order to get financial assistance. I declare that ******* like FNB are there to make money and to make sure that they siphon as much money from this crises. As an FNB bank account holder and online banking user this financial assistance is apparently limited to only those download and use the purported FNB App. I submit that this action is discriminatory and FNB must be taken to task i will be reporting this to the competition commission.

Dear Wesbank;

in particular Mrs Elize Fourie - it was an absolute pleasure to deal with her iro my query. she was prompt, kind, understanding and extremely helpful. she went the extra mile to assist me during this pandemic. i hope that my query in relation to the forced usage of the FNB App is investigated as this remains my main concern. i do not want the public at large to be forced to use an App while someone is befitting financially - there must be a choice for the same services being made available.

thanks
