FNB makes it difficult to close a Credit Card Account

Several months ago I tried to telephonically cancel my FNB credit card. I was told I cant do that over the phone I needed to go into the branch. So today I went to the bank to do just that. It is clear they make it as difficult as possible to cancel a card. I had to fill in a form manually, then also had to give proof of my bank account in case they had to refund me. They have full details of my bank account as they have been receiving payments from that account for the last 15 years! Lets hope it now gets cancelled or if they are going to come up with another story.
