FNB MAJOR Security FLAW

On the 26th of May, the day after I received my salary my total salary was ****** from my bank by *****ulent transactions.

I only noticed this the following day when I wanted to buy bread at Pic n Pay. The transaction declined due to insufficient funds. I got home and looked at my banking statements and my balance was -R4000.

I logged the *****ulent transaction to FNB a little later when I got back home.

There were 12 transactions on my account to within 2 hours all of R5000 except the last two were smaller until the bank was emptied.

I received no SMS of these transaction, I also did not receive a InApp notification or was once asked to authenticate a transaction of any kind. FNB let 12 transaction though without any check in 2 hours.

Today FNB let me know they will not be paying the money back as they are not responsible for this. They say my Virtual card was linked to a some electronic wallet and therefor I had to have received a OTP for this. They also say that because its a Wallet purchase the supposed safe virtual card does not need a new CVC number and nor does the transaction need to be authorised by my app.

This is in plain english a VERY BAD flaw in their security. I will now be posting a YouTube video on how to hack any FNB card and purchase online with it without the owner even authorising. How FNB can not take ANY responsibility for this is shocking and everything should know how insecure they are.

Even if I was ******* into giving await an OTP or card number or what ever they needed, how can FNB let 12 transactions of the same amount g o through without verification of any kind all of the same amount????

I will not pay a cent of my credit card until this is resolved. Keep my bank closed until you pay me back.

I have had not feedback again from FNB. Also I did no receive the email that they said they will send to me with the summary and explanation why the are refusing to pay me back my money.

I have reached out to several radio stations and social media platforms to inform people of the loophole in your security protocols. Its still beyond me how you do not take any responsibility for this. You let people ***** money form our accounts, you let the money go. Your supposed to be the trust broker our of money. I have 0 trust in you. I will take my banking somewhere else.
