FNB - losing the human touch

FNB service stinks. All I wanted was to link a beneficiary to my account. I get told at branch that this is now done over the phone only. I then called the number and the rather rude consultant says I "failed verification "when I gave her the last four numbers of my card as requested. She then says I should go back to a branch. Why all this shoving from pillar to post???? What was such a simple process is now like a visit to home affairs. I refuse by my choice to use online banking. Is my years of being a loyal client valued - or should I move to a competitor who still believes in the human touch????

I do apologise - my number has indeed changed from this hello Peter profile time.
My bank will soon change too, as i had to incur expense to effect a cash withdrawal because FNB prefers to inconvenience it's clients, rather than provide service.
