18 Sept 2021, 14:28Hellopeter did respond that FNB sent a response and that I could click on the link to see the response, but that did not show the response content. I opted to reply, and can now see the actual FNB system response, which is another reference number with a promise of action in the distant future, as we have been experiencing for months already now.
We actually tried to follow up on some of these references using the provided phone numbers as well, only to find that it takes you on a ring a ring a rosies path through at least three other departments that you get transferred to. To iexponentially increase the level os irritaion each of these departments restart the KYC process from scratch and requests your name, ID, EMAIL, Account number, Dogs name, neighbours car numberplate etc before informing you that they are not the right ones to speak to. I ended up with someone that was going to escalate this on my last phone call on Monday this week.
It is clear that FNB has become just another bureaucratic institution with pre-programmed systems and humans that have no decisionmaking abilities of thier own, other than responding to each requirement / issue in accordance with rules.
Their systems and humans are unfortunately now stuck in a never ending loop and the only way out seems to be to find a bank that employs humans with unrestricted brains and decision making capabilities..
