Fnb Life insurance is a haux!

Took a loan with fnb and took out a debt protection plan which covered me for loss of income. My business is non operational and have lost all my income. I submitted a claim with them and they paid for the first month of April 2021, they said I'd have to apply each month due to the fact that I'm self employed. I submitted another claim on may 26 cause nothing has changed. Til date, their claims department has been playing tricks and now suddenly they said they do not pay out for someone in my situation, that my business is still operational, that it's not their problem if the business lost profit. I explained that it has completely run to the ground, it's way past the loss of profit it's not operational at this point, so much so that the last money I could recover went towards my debts and bills and continue operatingl,! I've sent them proof of this and that I'm not currently trading at all. The consultant said can still begin trading at anytime?? I'VE NOT TRADED FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS THAT I'M CLAIMING FOR,WHERE WILL I GET MONEY TO PAY FOR THOSE MONTHS FROM????? I've sent them all relevant information to support my claim. They said one mustve lost full income for a calender month and more to be eligible but after payin for a month their consultant is telling me that I can go back in to business at anytime so they can't pay for months that I've lost income and been unable to pay for my loan for, so ***** me!! FNB is not trustworthy, they are inconsistent and couldn't care less about their clients. They signed me up for the insurance well aware that I'm self employed but when it's time to pay, the outcome of the claim depends on the consultants mood! I had to even send a complaint to get a response after almost a full month after submitting a claim, which was supposed to have been processed withing 5 days! If you're looking for a debt protection plan don't try fnb, even better if u want a loan look for another bank that's consistent, and delivers the service u pay for with clear rules and policies. My business has been struggling for a while before it completely shut down, I communicated this with fnb to even try and negotiate my monthly installments down prior to applying for insurance. And I never got a response, they gave an email to send to and that was the last of it. Now the last hope i had which I've been paying for has turned out to be a haux! So disappointed. After 7 yrs of banking with these ppl. I'm taking my business elsewhere

The issue has been resolved, thanks to the gentleman from the complaints team who saw to it that i got answers, kept me updated and made sure that i had clarity at every turn without fail- something I'm not used to of late from fnb. Also, the manager from the personal loan debt protection insurance department gave me outstanding service and got the matter resolved within 24hours after our telephonic conversation.
I am satisfied with the outcome, i just wish it hadnt come a month later, after 3 complaints.
