FNB LIFE ENRICHING THEMSELVES AT THE BANKERS EXPENSE
On the 28th of July 2021 I I called FNB life department to pause my policy as I have been unemployed for almost a year and seeked relief. I spoke to Bonani Madondo and I was told I cannot pause but can decrease my premium to R86.00 up until such a time I can afford to my initial premium of R317.00. On the same evening of the 28th of July, FNB sent out an email citing that indeed FNB life policies could be pause. The following day, the 29th I called FNB again and I advised that I'd like to firstly amend my policy to what it was initially and pause for 3months, I was then advised that the premium was now ranging in the R400s and could not be what it initially was. The horror!!! I requested the consultant to listen to the call recording from the previous day with Bonani, he then confirmed and put me through to Bonani who said he will rectify and call me back. When he eventually called me back he advised that it had been paused and premium back to R317. 00, however still waiting on IT to do something.
To my surprise, on the 2nd of August FNB tried to debit my account TWICE, they subsequently bounced the debit and charged me for the bounced debits even though I had ENOUGH FUNDS!!!!! I have also received a new policy schedule for the amount of R86. 00 which is incorrect!!!!
Bonani needs to amend my policy back to what it was initially, pause it and refund back 2x R115.00 for 'bounced debits' as this does not make any sense. What am I being charged for????
The only way to ever get assistance from your bank is for one to throw their toys out the cot. You consistently prove to me that you are in the business of enriching yourselves at the bankers expense!!!!
