FNB Life Claims – Unacceptable Delay and No Feedback on Claim
Whom It May Concern
I am a pensioner who re**** on income from an investment in a company where I also served as a consultant for a period of time.
On 26 February 2026 at 08:07, I was informed that this company would be liquidated. As a direct result, I received no income at the end of February 2026 and have since been placed under severe financial strain. I had limited funds in my cheque account to cover debit orders, but I was unable to settle my credit card due to this sudden loss of income.
On 4 March 2026, I contacted FNB’s Life Claim department and submitted all the required supporting documents — more than once. Despite numerous follow-up emails, I received no response. Only on 30 March 2026 at 14:17 did a consultant contact me, advising that my claim would take 2 to 3 days to be finalised. It is now 9 April 2026, well beyond the promised timeframe, and despite further follow-ups, I have still received no feedback whatsoever. This lack of communication and failure to meet promised timelines is completely unacceptable, especially considering my circumstances as a pensioner who is financially affected by this delay.
I have been a loyal FNB client for over 30 years, and this experience has severely damaged my trust in the bank.
I request urgent intervention, immediate feedback, and prompt finalisation of my claim without any further delay. If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will have no choice but to escalate it further.
Regards.
