FNB life are the WORST!!

FNB life are the worst! Sharks and *****. I was forced to take out their policy on my loan which I have been paying every month at almost R500 per month but they find every reason to try and avoid paying out. In the March lockdown I was temporarily retrenched, put in my claim and after numerous calls and follow ups they finally approved my claim......only to terminate it 12 days later after I received a UIF/TERS payment. I asked to cancel the policy but they refused. Ridiculous, but it gets worse! At the end of May I got permanently retrenched. I submitted my retrenchment claim on 01st June and almost a month later there is still no outcome. It has been escalated 4 times, I have left untold messages for managers to call me back. Lerato then called me trying to poke holes in my claim, calling staff at my previous employer to find out what relationship I had to management!! She has also promised me two call backs on different days but once again nothing. I have been employed by the same company for years, paying paye and UIF as well as paying my policy to FNB life. Is this a case of overexposure by FNB life and now they’re finding every reason to get out of legitimate claims? Avoid any policies with this company as they are a joke!
