FNB lies and run around with homeloans once you're a client
Started a homeloan with FNB last year August, and our initial Homeloan contract stated and approved amount of 20% registered on the bond above the property value for future use amount.
We were told we can definitely do a solar install and have the property valuation increased accordingly to accommodate the homeloan future use amount for the install.
After over 3 months of battling with FNB, we are told FNB can only approve 5%, not the 20% in cotract.
I've been in communication via email and phone for over 3 months, and concluded that If there's nothing you can do further, I will begin the process of hopefully moving my homeloan, life insurance & building insurance to ABSA this week, and close down related FNB bank accounts. I would rather pay new bond registration costs (which ABSA will subsidize) for a better service elsewhere. FNB has let me down. Can't begin to express my disappointment in this whole process.
