FNB lies about banking cost to get you to upgrade to Private Clients

On 18 October I was called by Itumeleng Makau from the sales department, encouraging me to upgrade from Platinum Account to Private Clients. He stated that based on the last 6 months' average banking fees, I would actually be saving by upgrading to Private Clients. He said that I have, on average, paid in excess of R400 monthly banking fees and that I also pay additional cost for having a credit card (even when not using credit). When I looked at my statements for the last few months, it turned out that I am not paying as much as he made me believe and that it was a lie in order to make a sale. I did send him a mail on 22 October asking for proof of banking costs in excess of R400, to which he has not yet responded hence it seems that he was dishonest. Very disappointing that FNB has gone this route and that they have not responded to my inquiry a week later.
