FNB lies
My father passed away on the 28th of May 2019. He had an account with FNB and I also have a personal and businsss account with FNB. Yesterday (3rd June 2019) I went to the Cape Road, Newton Park branch to close his accounts. I informed the consultant that I need to pay for my father's cremation and she told me she will transfer R7, 500 from my late father's account which will only reflect in my account 24 hours later, while the rest of his money will be processed through FNB's Deceased department which will be in 21 days time. 24 Hours later, no money reflecting in my account. Tried to contact the branch in Cape Road to query the cash not reflecting but was informed that branches no longer take calls and gets redirected to their call centre. Call centre could also not assist me so I decided to go into a branch at Galleria (Amanzimtoti). The Galleria branch then informed me they can't assist and informed me I was misinformed by the consultant at their Cape Road, Newton Park branch.
Nobody from FNB can assist me or give me answers which is very unprofessional. I will be closing my personal as well as my business accounts if this is not resolved within 24 hours.
