FNB Legal is pushing me over the edge and doesnt respond to queries

First of all, let me say that I am, and have been, a happy client of FNB. I dont want to bank, with anybody else. I have a problem though, and I have no choice other to raise it here because this issue is turning to have a snowball effect and the only person who's going to get hurt here, is me.

I have had my credit card account with FNB for a couple of years. I really enjoy the FNB products, and innovative technologies implemented into their systems. Abouyt a year or so ago I struggled to make ends meet and my CC fall behind. Though I have attempted to make arrangements, but it ended up at legal branch. The moment I got notified that it is a legal branch - was the moment I got in touch, trying to rectify things.

Cutting a long story short, they've advice me that they will accept nothing less than R3000 per month, which I shared with them, I can not afford. I was informed is either that, or further legal proceedings. Somehow I've paid the requested amount, until a few months back where I just couldn't anymore, and legal branch agreed to accept R2000. Payment was either a few days before or after the agreed date - but it was paid.

About a 2 months ago, I ended up making payment around the middle of the month, and the FNB representative moved the scheduled date to the middle of the months. Let me also say, prior to that, I wrote emails, but rarely, very rareley got a response. Since paying in the middle of the month is hard for me, the next month, I've paid the required amount, plus pro-rata calculated X amount extra, so that the payment arrangement date can go back to the end of the month.

At that time I got a response from Nomandla, stating , "We will only recall/return from summons process because of the payment you have made today. The arrangement for R2000.00 every month will be reinstated. Should you default in future, we will proceed with litigation, and we will not recall your account again."

Now I understand that FNB has tog et their money back, and I want to clear my account, as I want to maintain a good standing relationship with FNB.

Well a few days after that email, my online banking in fact informed me that I WAS handed over o in contrast to that was said to me. I wrote SEVERAL emails to Nomandla, but have not had a response, since. I kept writing (friendly) emails, asking to clarify as to why I was handed over, if that was not the arrangement.

I have had NO response. This is frightening, bacuse FNB is not responding, I dont know what will happen next - and frankly, I got the feeling that the person I consulted with, is enjoying pushing clients over the edge - based on the fact that I get NO response, and I have to simply sit and wait to see what happens next.

Now let met tell you - as I have mentioned to Nomandla before - I need to know where I stand, what to expect, and to know whats going on. How else will I be able to sleep. Well let me tell you this, I've had sleepless nights and intense stress, because FNB just decided not to respond, and we'll nail you as far as we can.

Since I was handed over - which I was promised would not be the case, and since the handed over account appears on my online banking (thank you for that) I tried to investigate myself, and noticed that my account says that my handed over CC account's monthly installment is R444.27 per month. This was a relief, and I AGAIN wrote to Nomandla about this, but as expected - no response. So I've paid R500 to this account, and the account in question stated that I am not in arrears, and in fact, my account is overpaid with R 55.73.

I wrote another email to Nomandla, and cc'ing other department's email addresses - hoping that I will get a response from someone.

"Zwane" responded, stated in short - that I can disregard what my online banking says, and that I am due R2000.

The bottomline here is - I've been unfairly treated. I've tried to get an answer as to WHY I was handed over, if I was promised in writing that this would not be the case. I am unhappy about the fact that the account was handed over, and unhappy about the fact that I am now required to pay the R400 and something installment - which suits much better - but yet I am told that I have to cover for R2000 per month.

I am not going to accept the fact that FNB has neglected me, and I since I HAVE been handed over, I insist that I pay the installment, what my account says, is due payable. Yes - I want to clear the outstanding amount, and I will also try to do so, but I am prepared to pay what my account , aka FNB's system, says I have to pay, and I request not to work the the persons I've worked with, anymore, as I do get the idea that they enjoy pushing one over the edge.

I've been really let down this time.

I dont want any calls or anything other than communication in writing - in this way I will have proof and record of whats being said.

I am requesting a confirmation of what and when I have to pay, in writing.

If we cant get to an agreement on this matter - I am gladly prepared to go to court, and state my case. I really enjoy banking with FNB, but today, I have had enough.

I can not work like this - not getting a response from someone. And I also can not sit and "wait" to see whats turning up and whats about to happen. This is unacceptable and I really did not expect this behavior and treatment from FNB.

Please get back to me, in writing.
