Fnb law on call looks for any excuse not to cover
I took out an fnb law on call policy when I purchased a property with fnb. I found out later that there was a no pet rule I requested assistance from law on call and they rejected this claim saying it was a pre existing matter.i then engaged the services of my own attorney. Then I had an unfair dismissal and this was in August 2014 my fnb law policy was taken in May 2014 I approached them for assistance and they could not assist me,I needed to lodge documents in 3 days I then engaged the services of my own attorney and paid a huge bill, the matter was settled by my own attorney.I recently requested assistance again with my vehicle that was damaged by a panel beater when my vehicle was in their care and poor workmanship after me calling the legal advisor several days and speaking to Jaco Van De Merwe then only did the advisor forward a letter of demand to the panel beater. After the expiry date I called the advisor on a daily basis two weeks had gone and he did not appoint a lawyer to draft a summons I complained to Mr Bossert I then had a meeting with the panel beater and came to a settlement on my own.Bossert promised to look into my other matter and to date has not given feedback.
