FNB Law on Call .... A waste of money

I was contacted by FNB a few years ago to sell me a Law on call policy. The salesperson advised that because I was a long standing client with FNB I would receive cover for any legal.matters for both my husband and myself up to the value of R65 000 as stipulated on their website. I have not made use of this service often but everytime that I have called with any matters there is always some excuse as to why they cannot assist and amazingly every single of my related issues are not covered. The lawyers seemed to be inexperienced and have no clue as to any form of customer service. They offer no legal advice but instead say they cannot assist. It is amazing how quick it takes for the policy to be signed up so that they can make a quick sale and the saleperson will only give you information that will assist in making a quick sale. No exclusions was discussed with me at the time of the sale. I have since called requesting a copy of that policy and to date have not received. It has been a waste of my time and money and have opted to cancel and rather keep the instalment that I am currently paying in a seperate bank account so that I can engage the services of a proper lawyer when the need arises. I should actually demand all my instalments paid thus far to be refunded as I was misled .
