FNB law can be a nightmare sometimes
Law on Call couldn’t care less about their clients; if I didn’t know any better, I would say they are nearly there to frustrate the life out of us. My ordeal with them began in February, when everything seemed promising. The initial stages unfolded smoothly: they appointed an attendance, and I went for a consultation, which left me feeling hopeful that my case would be handled with the diligence it deserved. All that was left for me to do was provide the required documentation for the lawyers to file in court. However, fast forward to May, and nothing has been done. Instead, the lawyers have taken me on a relentless roller coaster ride filled with lies and empty promises, leaving me in a state of confusion and frustration.
I meticulously provided them with all the evidence they requested, believing that I was doing my part to expedite the process. At one point, I even included them in the correspondence I sent to the law firm, thinking that transparency would help move things along. Yet, despite my efforts, I found myself increasingly exasperated with their lack of responsiveness. On May 2, I finally reached my breaking point and demanded to speak with one of the managers, Harold. He assured me, in writing, that he would get back to me no later than the following Monday. Guess what happened? Monday came and went, and there was no communication, no updates—nothing. I followed up with an email, hoping for some clarity, but my inquiries went unanswered.
Determined not to be overlooked, I followed up again, only to be met with the same frustrating response: all the managers were in meetings all day. It felt as though my urgent situation was being treated as a mere inconvenience, as if my time and patience were of no consequence to them. The constant delays and the lack of accountability from their team were infuriating. What really gets under my skin is the fact that they are considering keeping the same lawyer who has demonstrated nothing but incompetence, despite the extensive time they have wasted on my case. I have laid out all my circumstances and the challenges I’m facing, yet it seems they are indifferent to my plight.
To add insult to injury, every month, without fail, I am still expected to pay for their services, even though the service I am receiving is far from satisfactory. It feels like a cruel joke—an endless cycle of frustration where I am left waiting for progress that never comes, while they continue to collect their fees as if everything is running smoothly. The lack of communication, the broken promises, and the utter disregard for my situation have left me feeling powerless and angry. I am left wondering how a firm that claims to advocate for justice can treat their clients with such blatant disregard, and I can’t help but feel trapped in a system that is supposed to support me, yet only adds to my burdens.
