FNB - just don't bank there

A bit of background first. I lost a work contract, and was unemployed for 5 months in total. In this time, my Credit Card balance went up by R 15,000, my cheque Account by R5,000. The CC was purely interest, and the cheque: because FNB charges R150 for Insufficient Funds on a debit order. BTW way, my current bank, Capitec, charges only R 7,50) I obviously went for Debt Counselling, otherwise I would've lost my car. Now that I received some cash (my car was written off - the irony is that a Debt Counsellor jumped a traffic circle ! LOL) - I am paying everything off. FNB would not give me ANY discount on the amounts I owed. (They did reverse the Cheque account's amounts kindly enough). But the last little assistance I needed, was to have the R15,000 of the Credit Card also s****ped. I received the email already - I have to pay everything in FULL. Which now puts me the R15,000 short. The rest is for mere interest if you want to read further. So, when you paid everything off in your Debt counselling - it takes 2 - 3 weeks to get off the lists etc. and get finance for a new car. So I have to now wait another month to pay the last amount off - then another 3 weeks before I can get a new car. The best part is - you pay an amount on the CC for insurance, to protect you in the case where you get retrenched, but not when your contract does not get renewed. So I'm stuffed - thank you very much FNB!

After going through my statement for my Debt Review loan, which replaced my Credit Card, i discovered the following SHOCK!
Instead of the 0.02% Annual interest (an amount of almost R2.00 per month), FNB charged me in Aug and Sept, R3,200.00 in total!

To correct myself on the amount of Interest:
R 100 000 at 0.02% (Annual) is R2000, divide by 12 to get monthly interest, is R166.67.
But definitely still NOT R1300 / R1800 / R 1700 as FNB charged.
