FNB & Ismail Idah Attorneys

FNB has given me such a run-around for a loan I have already paid. I received an sms from FNB instructing me to pay R8197.14 before 28 February 2023. Now I am receiving text messages from FNB that I have not paid the R8197 14, of which I have paid into the law firm's bank account. I went to the FNB branch in Pietermaritzburg that is on Commercial Road, they gave me their phone to contact FNB customer service line. I was then connected to a lady by the name of Zameka Memani, who then asked that I provide proof of payment and send it to her email address *** and I sent the proof of payment to her. She kept quiet for a while, and I reached out to her on 28 March 2023. Zameka rep**** by informing me that FNB cannot find this payment that I made to them. Now this confuses me because I think that Ismail Idah Attorneys need to communicate this payment to FNB. I have been paying for this loan through the law firm that FNB has handed my case over to. To my knowledge and proof of payment, I have already paid this money, and I no longer owe FNB. I took this loan around 2014 and made the final payment last year in October 2022. What FNB did was hand my loan case over to a law firm b the name of Ismail Idah Attorneys. I was instructed to pay the remaining amount of this loan to the above-mentioned law firm. Now this law firm was supposed to communicate with FNB once I have made this final payment of R8197.14. Now my understanding of this whole process is that since FNB handed over my file to Ismail Idah Attorneys- FNB and Ismail Idah Attorneys are supposed to sort this out between themselves since I have made the final payment of R8197.14 to the law firm's bank account as instructed. FNB and Ismail Idah Attorneys kindly sort this out between the two of you. Contact Zameka Memani to forward you the proof of payment that I have already sent to her email address. I need my name to be cleared so that I can carry on with my life. This is causing unnecessary stress for me, and I do not like the fact that all parties in this have given me the run-around and made me go from one bank to another to try and solve this. I have made paid as per instruction.
