FNB is very slow to respond if you dont raise a conplaint publicly
It seems that the only way to get a response from FNB is through a public complaint on HelloPeter. I wrote to FNB quering my ebucks and the calculation of points. I was called and informed that certain things had not pulled through such as the qualifying debit orders from my account nor my several attempts to visit the track your rewards page. Whilst FNB acknowledged the problem, the promised corrections have not happened to date. As a result, my benefits are prejudiced for the month. This has impacted my smart spend rewards and my discount at Avis.
Interestingly, FNB no longer seems to consider payment from a linked business account as an income deposit. Is FNB forcing its clients to move at least one of its accounts to another bank?
The life insurance cover requirment for reward points at fnb increased from R1.2m to R1.5m. (25% increase). Whilst this is above the banks own annual increase in cover, the bank has sadly not yet responded to my email request to have the life cover increased. It is causing me to evaluate the true value of ebucks through getting comparitive life cover quotes with fnb no longer as competitive given the reduction in ebucks rewards.
