FNB is useless and has no customer service whatsoever.

I app**** for a credit card at FNB a few months ago and although the application was not fully finished, a credit card account was opened and showed on my app. This account has been inactive and basically useless because I cannot transact on it and I have no card. I went into a branch and requested for everything to be cancelled as well as called your call centre, nothing happened for over three weeks and I then accidentally transferred money into it this stupid account as it was active on my app. I called fnb, and got told to send an email request to ********** because that is where I will get the quickest help. LOL what a lie. I sent an email yesterday morning, got a read reciept about 10 mins later and still have not heard from anyone 24 hours later.

I also app**** for an overdraft about a week ago online, I got sent a cutomer pre agreement and it had no clear instructions as to what I should have done with the pre agreement, I work at Melrose and thought it would be easier to go in store and ask what was going on. I went in and the lady told me that I needed to sign the preagreement and that the money would reflect immediately. Before all of this I asked if we could cancel it and reapply as I would like to apply for a higher overdraft - she told me no I cant do that. So I agreed, she advised me to sign the preagreement. 10 minutes later still no overdraft active on my account. "Maybe the servers are down, I will monitor this and give you a call". Again 24 hours later, no communication from FNB whatsoever, no credit card fix and no overdraft active. I am a new customer with FNB and I moved over because of previously dissapointing service from another bank. Here I am sitting with the same ***********, uninformative service especially from you Melrose Branch which is in a business districe.

If this is not sorted out by the end of today I will be finding another bank and yet again do another move. Absolutely ridiculous FNB, communication is KEY in a business.
