FNB Is the BEST @ *****ing and lying..... WOW!!!

Good Day.

1. FNB switch. I currently have a BOND with Standard bank (Primary Bank). I Contacted FNB with the intent of moving my Bond over to FNB . By doing so, I also wanted to inflate my bond to a higher amount (second bond, or new Bond). This amount would be raised from R670K to R820K leaving me with a Extra 150k. This extra amount, I would invest to settle my current debt. I was told that the bank is more than willing to do so. I then had to wait a couple of weeks as I had to cancel my bond with standard bank or else be liable for the cancelation charges of the bond. I decided to wait out the 3 month waiting period that the bank offered with no charge attached to it

When the 3 month waiting period lapsed, I contacted the attorney whom FNB appointed to handle the transfers. When I arrived at their premises, I asked the attorney to please explain all the information to me that was presented to me for signing. I was then informed that the amount that I was promised by the consultant from FNB would not be R150k but only R50K the balance of this would be placed in a kind a retainer. This amount would be available only when I have paid a certain percentage of the bond, or when I default on the payments.

I went to FNB head office on the N1 and spoke to the same consultant to assisted my. He said he never said that I would get the funds. I asked him to p[lease get the call recording from that day. He then got it and he actually did state that I would. He said I should dispute it.

My issue is simple.

i. The bank is lying to the consumer. I would like to know if I can take them to court and expose them

ii. The bank offers you loans that they know you cannot afford to keep you with them.

iii. Upon calling the switch department. Why offer me a interim loan, knowing that I cannot pay that money back to FNB with the amount I would get from the bank.

iv. If the amount went up from 670 to 820. The bank wants to make me understand that I would not pay interest on that amount; however the insurance that I would be paying would be to cover a property valued at 820 and not 670. This insurance firm is also recommended to use by the BANK!

v. My life cover would also have to increase, yet again. Done by the bank.

vi. Service and admin fees would also be charged by the bank, calculated from the overall loan amount.

vii. Offering the customer check accounts, which has a payment of R200 pm, knowing full well that if the customer doesn’t move, the customer would still be liable to pay the monthly service fee on that account.

After all this has happened, I decided rather to go to my current bank (Standard bank) and to apply for personal loan. I would then take funds from there to close my FNB check, credit card. I paid and closed this accounts at FNB Industria. I am still being debited each month for this account (credit card). I also called the bank to close it. Which I was informed that it was closed. I am still being charged to this hour.

The bank is keeping this card deliberately open after I have stated I want it closed. I strongly believe that the bank is doing this With the intent that I would and use the credit card again. If I should contact them and request to retrieve the call information made, I am confident that I would be right once again regarding my wishes in regards to closing the Credit Card, proving that I asked them to close it. I am tired of FNB and its sneaky ways to make the consumers even more debt dependent on them, with us going through these hard financial times in our country.

So I am pleading to you. Is there any way I can take them to court. What would I require to do so? I do not care if it takes years, but enough is enough, someone needs to take a stand. And I am tired of the rich making the poor poorer.
