FNB is *****ing from us indirectly
I transferred money into my FNB account on the 18th of March 2023, the sum of R4878.26 to be exact. After getting a notification from my bank app that the money is in, I went to make a withdrawal of R2800, and later deposited R1200 to my brother's account.
On the 21st I tried to purchase some food online and my card was declined, when I checked my balance was at -R4362.03. On the 22nd, I called FNB 9 TIMES, talked to 9 different agents, with no solution or answers to what transpired, all they know is to put me on hold for more than an hour. I even went to Fourways mall branch later in the afternoon, they were closed due to electrical issues.
From what I was told and still don't understand, my transfer was not cleared and reflecting but I managed to make transactions (HOW SO?). They say the money is being held PENDING REFUND, while I am busy being charged for bouncing transactions, because the bank decided to put my account on a minus, whilst I the owner and account holder knew I had money to spend in that account.
In my human eyes I consider this pure theft, how do you remove one's money from their account, put them in a negative balance unknowingly without fault, and then come back to charge them for unpaid transactions.
As I write this, I cannot use the account, because it is on a negative balance, the little R500+ that was left is now -R174, because of charges and unpaid things causing around R470 on the statement.
I have never app**** for an overdraft or over-drawn account when I opened this account. No one has a right to fiddle with my finances without my approval, and then tell me that I owe them.
I want this matter resolved as in today, and my balance back as it was please. I am wronged by your system, you guys and how you operate. I won't have this. It is pure nonsense, klaar...
As for your call center agents, PLEASE TAKE ALL OF THEM BACK TO TRAINING, THEY NO NOTHING ABOUT NOTHING, USELESS!!!
