FNB is ridiculous.
I have made a withdrawal at an atm and I was dispensed R100 short because a note showing counter use only came out the machine instead. This is ridiculous and unacceptable as it has put me in tremendous inconveniences.Kindly get a FNB official to call me before I even close my account with FNB immediately.my number is ***

25 Aug 2020, 21:31Thanking you for your replies.Just to let the public know that three consultants did call me to resolve the matter and I was told that although the FNB atm dispensed me the money tag instead of the R100 it is not their fault.According to their rules I must go to my bank and log a complaint and hand the original tag to them and then they will communicate and resolve the matter in their own manner.Apparently this happens in numerous occasions and that's the rule. That being said I need to know the following bearing in mind that this is not about the money and nobody intends to run around for R100 so to speak.
1) For R100 I must go take my time and go to my bank especially during this covid 19 and follow ques and log a complaint.
2) After that being done I should wait until they resolve the matter and I was assured that they will reimburse my funds.God knows how long that takes .
This is what I like to know from all the people who couldn't care less to go run around or also those people who don't realise that maybe the machine short paid them and dispensed a paper instead.
1) What happens to all those monies that were not claimed.
2) The cash centre personnel will be making extra monies because the ATM will have extra unaccounted monies while the clients will be short of their cash. All these amounts add up because many people will not go claim these funds because the procedure to claim is a long story so to speak especially the saswitch clients who draw from opposing ATMs.
3) What if there is a possibility that these paper tags are left intentionally in these ATMs to dispense these same tags and resulting short cash to clients.
I truly think that this is not fair to the public as I can see that FNB is not helpful to me because I used their ATM and furthermore I would suggest clients not to use FNB atm if they don't bank with them and rather use their own atm to avoid this loss and not forgetting paying bank charges for pieces of paper.
I have learnt a lesson from FNB and definitely will close my account with them because the assistance received was that of either do what we say or go fly a kite.
Thank you.
