FNB is not the people's bank anymore

<p>We have fallen behind in our bond repayments due to me losing my employment status, now I have a really good paying job (which is out of SA by the way and I am earning USD) and we want to get our bond payments sorted out so we made arrangements with an employee of FNB Home Loans, Sunita Padachy, that we will pay a required deposit at the end of March and then legal action will be suspended. We will then pay off the rest of the outstanding arrears at a set amount on top of our bond repayment until we are up to date. So we also filed a notice of intention to defend.</p> <p> </p> <p>Mr Innocent Mo***eng of FNB Home Loans, now has the audacity to say, in an affidavit given to the FNB lawyers VVM Inc, that and I quote “In my opinion there is no bona fide defence to the action and that the Notice of Intention to Defend has been delivered solely for the purpose of delay.”</p> <p> </p> <p>All this so that they and the lawyers VVM Inc can proceed with the court case and take our home away from us.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are really disappointed in FNB for allowing this to happen when we already have commited to pay a deposit and then catch up on our repayments.</p> <p> </p> <p>Maybe there is another bank out there that can help us and take over from FNB.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
