FNB is not here to help you

I have been trying to close my FNB bank account from overseas without success. The email address I am given bounce back. I have tried to contact FNB but no-one gets back to me. There is a lady complaining on a site that she has been trying since 2015 to close her account. How can I not be able to close my account from abroad? Surely there is a form that can be emailed to close the account. I sent my friend to FNB in SA to ask if they can help me but the lady said I have to come personally to the bank. I am not in SA. I sent an email to Capitec and they responded with a phone call within 24 hours. FNB has not even rep**** to my emails.
