FNB is literally creating bogus transactions and charges us ridiculous fees for it. Excess Fee charges.

I have banked with FNB Business for almost 10 years now and I have never experienced charges such as the Excess Fees until recently…

The consultants on the banking app keep on repeating the same thing that doesn’t make sense…

When I purchase something, the money immediately gets reserved and deducted from my available balance. Ensuring that the merchant receives their money regardless of the date they decide to process transactions. Therefore FNB is not liable to honour anything on my behalf.

So why am I being charged a fee because apparently my account had insufficient funds when the merchant processed the transaction? What happened to the reserved amount?

This is daylight ******* in the guise of vague explanations. It’s appalling to say the least. I’ll be leaving FNB on both personal and business basis.
