FNB is exploiting customers to make a profit

FNB banking has been an incredibly frustrating journey. Despite numerous calls and a lengthy visit to the bank from 9 am to 1 pm, it took a staggering three months to sort out my account. Even after all that effort, my app and internet banking still aren't functioning properly. To add insult to injury, I received a letter demanding payment for outstanding fees, which I had no way of knowing about due to my lack of access to the account and the app. Despite assurances that everything was sorted during my visit to the bank, nothing seems to be working now. When I expressed my inability to pay for a service that isn't functioning, I was informed that I'd need to pay over R1500.00 to close the account, including interest on the outstanding fees. This level of service is the worst I've ever encountered. It feels like FNB is exploiting customers to make a profit, and that's unacceptable in my opinion.
