FNB IS COMPROMISED
Good day, I am extremely upset to report the following as a serious complaint and hope to receive urgent feedback as this is unacceptable!
1. My father in-law was scheduled to leave for Italy on the 3rd of February 2019 and his card was hacked. A transaction of approx. R31 000 was made on the day of his departure. Thereafter, a few days of his business trip being in Italy, a second transaction of R31 000 was made again.
2. My husband too was scheduled to leave for New Zealand on the 3rd of February 2019 and his card too has been hacked! Transactions of exorbitant amounts of R43 000; R23 000 and various others has been made since the 12th of February and he is still in the country!
I find this extremely concerning that this has happened to both my father in-law and husband within the same time period; the both of them being overseas; and both of their accounts and cards hacked! Online purchases being made and FNB not even finding this as unusual transactions. How is it that the ********** activity so conveniently happened as soon as the both of them were scheduled to leave the country???? Who made the ********* aware of this??? How would they know that they would be out of the country??? I don’t understand this – it’s far too coincidental and convenient.
This is far too coincidental and I can’t help but assume that FNB has been compromised!
My husband and I have never spent such ridiculous amounts of money and yet FNB could not even call us to find out if these are transactions we are making.
This is extremely concerning and something here needs to be investigated on an urgent basis without hesitation!
We as loyal FNB clients need an update on this immediately!
