FNB is complicating what should be simple
If I could give this bank zero stars I would. I've been with them for 10 years now and the move to digital has caused this bank to deteriorate in customer satisfaction from my personal experiences. My problem arises with the lack of management from their side.
1. You pay a monthly fee for the bank to do the bare minimum. I have a fusion account, every time my card expires, I have to contact them to notify them and then they arrange a card delivery. I have no issue with this, except that this is a really simple issue that requires minimal effort from them to fix. It was not an issue in the past, a banker would call and simply arrange delivery of the new card.
2. The Ebucks rewards system is a total ****. You have to jump through hoops to get to the required level, I'm a level 5 and it is ridiculously hard work to stay on this level. The cost of using their products to stay on this level far outweighs the rewards and the nuisance of having to deal with their ever changing rules. I've lost several thousands of rands in ebucks simply due to FNB randomly adding a new condition to a rule.
3. The staff: this is a clear indication of poor leadership. I'm not sure if the customer support is outsourced but it is the worst, I have dealt with Capitec, Discovery and Nedbank, the service and care received from these other banks is levels above that received from FNB. The online platform for chatting to a banker is terrible and you have to wait for ages to get on the correct phone line to speak verbally to someone who can actually help.
I'm completely done with this bank for failing to do the simple things. I am searching for a new bank to handle my finances and investments.
