FNB is a ****.

I received a push notifications in November, if I remember correctly, from my FNB banking app to inform me that I’m one of the 200 people that won a share of the scan to pay competition which was running a few months prior to November.

I then followed all the steps I had to on the app to claim my prize and waited for 7 days as I was informed by an agent to wait that long for the pay out.

I didn’t get any money. I then received a push notification to inform me that the money will reflect within 31 days. I called FNB to get some clarity, my call was transferred to so many departments because nobody knew what I was to talking about. I finally got an email address for a guy by the name of Monaheng who was apparently in charge of the entire promo. He responded to my email saying the pay out will be made within 31 days.

Sometime in December before Christmas, a friend of mine who was also a winner informed me that she got her money. I waited for the 31 days to pass and emailed the guy Monaheng but I got no response from him. I wrote to FNB on twitter and their support account RBJacobs asked me to send a DM which I did. He gave me a number to call but it took me to a wrong department and my call was then transferred from so many departments and still no one had a clue what I was talking about. I reached out to the support account, they informed me that my query had been handed over to whatever team and they should be in touch soon to resolve my issue, but until this day, no one has called and I still haven’t received any money.

RBJacobs has no clue what’s happening although that’s an FNB Social media support account. I keep getting told that we are still awaiting feedback everyday.

It also appears I’m not the only one with this problem, a guy by the name Mathew respond to my tweet to say that he’s been experiencing the same thing and even showed me a tweet from another guy who had the same issue.

Is FNB ever gonna pay?
