FNB Is a ****mer’s Paradise

I strongly advise people to think twice before banking with FNB.

I have repeatedly had debit orders processed against my account that I never authorised or approved. Somehow, these transactions are allowed to go through, and I have lost hundreds, if not thousands, of rands as a result.

I have cancelled cards and replaced them, thinking that would stop the problem, but it made absolutely no difference. The money continued to be taken from my account. The only thing that changed was that I received another card.

What is most frustrating is the lack of meaningful assistance from FNB. You report the unauthorised transactions, but you are left feeling like the bank is protecting the people taking your money rather than protecting you, the customer.

At this point, FNB feels like a ****mer’s paradise. If your bank allows unauthorised debit orders to repeatedly come off your account and cannot adequately protect you from them, what exactly are you paying banking fees for?

Do not bank with FNB. I regret it.
