FNB is a greedy bank! Would not recommend AT ALL!

FNB is a money making scheme! I have been charged R12 each for countless downloading of old statements on the same day, within minutes of one another. When I called the bank, a few days later to let them know that I had tried to download statements and was met with an error message therefore having to log back in and select the option again and was now being charged for the same statement over and over again, they said they would investigate. I also informed the call centre the error message I had received and the duplicated charges and dates. It's taken a month of silence from them; being passed from one person to the next with no reporting back and constantly "escalating to (a) manager" and now the development team for them to come back and say they don't see an error on their side and as such are not reversing the charges.

An example - charged three times for a same month statement in 2017. Who the hell would choose to keep downloading a statement already downloading UNLESS the statement was in fact NOT downloading. They've said to contact my banker should I have an issue and if I don't have one, to log a complaint like everyone else.

This is not the first time this year FNB has been greedy. A few months back I downgraded my account and was told I could keep using the card without having to get another one. The consultant then went to cancel my card (WHY?!) and had a new one sent to me at a charge. When I queried this, I was told I infact did not need a new card as stipulated in the call and they did not know why the consultant had cancelled my card. I then told them I am disputing that cost and the consultant said he would call back after following up - I am still waiting (over three months later).

Greedy! Would not recommend them at all!
