FNB Insure is Terrible

My experience with FNB Insure has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.

My car was ****** during a park run event. I contacted them immediately after discovering the vehicle was gone, and I was referred to open a case at the police station. I submitted all requested documents, including the police case docket, within 3 days.

After submission, there was no acknowledgement of receipt and absolutely no proactive communication from their side. I had to call almost every day just to try get updates, but nothing meaningful happened for 27 days until I escalated the matter to my private banker.

Only after escalation did they begin requesting additional information such as my employment type, company name, pictures of the car, and the last service invoice. Now they are asking me to prove I was at the park and saying they are waiting for a “Unicode document,” yet nobody clearly explains what is happening or how long the process will take.

Whenever I ask to speak to a manager, I am left on hold for 15 minutes or longer with no resolution. Every single call ends with “we are waiting for documents,” despite the fact that I continuously submit what they ask for.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I have almost all my banking and insurance products with FNB. I genuinely expected far better service, communication, and professionalism during such a stressful situation. Had I known the claims process would be handled this way, I would have seriously reconsidered insuring with them.

Think twice before joining these guys. It honestly feels like they already have enough clients and no longer care about customer experience once you actually need help.

The lack of communication, accountability, urgency, and empathy throughout this process has been unacceptable.
