FNB Insurance - Who are you helping?
FNB Short Term Insurance
I must admit that the feedback from FNB during the claim process for a vehicle accident has been extremely lacking, and I find their service appalling to say the least.
Between myself in the initial stages of the claim, I had to keep following-up on what is happening in regards to the claim, and in most instances I received no response from the claims handler at all. By phone or by email.
I called in on numerous occasions and left a couple of messages for the claims handler, and had no response. Even the arrangement of the car rental was done by another agent.
My mom had to take over the correspondence with the claims handler when I was in hospital, as I was seriously ill. I was in ICU and could not communicate with FNB Insurance directly during that period. As my mom was the regular driver on my policy, things should have gone smoothly.
Due to your delay by FNB Insurance and the fact that FNB Insurance had no idea where the vehicle was at a stage (we where asked by the consultant, where the vehicle was towed too) This in the second or third week after the accident and being towed by a supplier that was arranged by FNB Insurance etc. the the assessor verdict was delayed and thus the whole claim was delayed.
Why can’t FNB Insurance not provide us with a timeline, keep updating us on the process? Why is it so difficult.
More than a month has now passed since the claim was registered and another premium deducted for insurance on a vehicle that should now technically not exist as it was s****ped, or am I wrong here?
I must admit that I am honestly saddened by the service we have received thus far from a company who’s motto is “How can we help you?” I honestly was hoping FNB Insurance would make insurance simpler than all the other competitors.
My loans are through FNB, my Will is done by FNB, my salary goes through FNB. I don’t have all the money in the world, but I am still their client.
I returned the rental on Monday, 12 September as per the arrangement with FNB and Avis. We are now stuck in limbo. Without the payment from FNB insure (for s****ped vehicle) we can’t get a replacement vehicle as the money is needed for a deposit on another vehicle. We where now forced to pay for an additional month’s rental (this is money that we did NOT have). We needed to make a plan!?
Ps. complaint email was sent to the claim handler and complaint department and guess what? There was no response.
