FNB INSURANCE UNFAIRNESS TO CLAIM
I recently experienced a burglary into my place of residence. I obtained police report,ADT report and also assessment was done virtually by the chosen assessor from FNB. However I had a cover for household contents with an amount of R100 000. I just happen to be told by FNB that after assessment was done on all the items in the house,I should be insured for R300 000. This is upon claim stage as my claim amounts to R107 000. FNB is saying that because I am under insured,I would get R33 000 only as they app**** the under insured policy. My disappointment and disagreement is that why am I not paid the maximum of my insured amount and be afforded the opportunity to increase the cover as they claim that I’m under insured? Why are there penalties that is applicable to ALL contents in the house whereas I didn’t lose all of them? Why the ***** deal of being quick to put penalties of under insurance yet I’m covered for R100 000 which they are refusing to pay? I submitted all relevant information and invoices. The amount that the FNB is willing to pay won’t even replace my furniture and I would be running at the loss yet I’m covered for R100 000? Why is FNB ****ming me of what is rightfully mine? Why are they not paying the maximum that I’m covered for as well as considering that I did not claim for ALL contents that now I’m affected by their assessment of ALL my items even though they are not ******?
