FNB INSURANCE - HOW CAN WE ROB YOU TODAY

PITY I CANNOT GIVE A ZERO START RATING!!! If you ever listen to a stranger, listen to me, do not ever ever even in your dreams insure anything dear or valuable with FNB Insurance. Like an abused ***** I kept going back but now canceling all insurance policies I have with that company. All is good when they take money however come claim stage they would rather pay 2 companies to investigate, they term it "validating". You are expected to keep slips or POPs of everything that you have collected all your working life. They want proof that you had a certain shoe that you lost and then after sending them 90% proof of the claim, they go and appoint another "validator" to "validate" that you indeed had the things that you are wearing in the millions of pictures you sent to them, pictures they requested. I shudder to think what will happen when I leave this earth and my kids are left with the task of claiming my life cover from FNB judging by my 2 claims I have had on this short term policy. 1st was a car accident which led me not having my car for 3 months as they validated and contacted everybody on my phone list even after all the evidence was presented to them on the other driver's jumping a clear red robot to hit my car.

Fast forward to today, came home to a ransacked house that presented a loss of things that cannot be replaced. You know that question at inception: "How much will it cost to replace everything in your house"? And they go, push it up a little so that you are adequately covered? So the premium adds a bit more cents for them? Thank God the buglers did not clean out my house, I would still be sleeping on the floor with my children a month & a half later. Oh, they had actually approved it at some point, wanting to replace my Samsung TV with a Highsense TV, my Sony speaker with some Chinese brand that is reserved for 5 year olds to make noise around the house. I buy reputable brands that are fit for purpose and the assessor gives them a list of replacements that are not even worth 10% of what I lost. What is the use of having cover when the covering company is not going to honour the agreement? Do not get me started with the lies about obtaining the A1 statement, I contacted the investigator who just confirmed that he was not, as I suspected, All delay tactics. . I would like this matter settled so I can move on with my life without a constant reminder of what I have lost, I pay for a service that I expect to be honored as I honour mine every month without fail. Just got a call from the other set of investigators that require the same information that was sent to the assessors and the insurance company numerous times, just like the 1st incident I have to wait for the investigator who is only returning to Gauteng next week, thanks for ruining my insurance experiences, never had this incompetence from previous insurance companies, should not have left them for a few e-bucks, they are most definitely not worth the headache, frustration and dealing with a bank that should clearly just stick to their core business and leave insurance to professionals.

Reviewer Update
THE SAGA CONTINUES. It is now the 8th of March 2024 a full 2 months and 6 days since my break in. I still do not have a conclusion to my claim, if FNB does not want to pay me this must just be communicated because clearly they are not in the mood to entertain my claim. They have sent investigators to my house where the most private spaces of my house were opened, photographed and documented, requested my tracker reports, requested contact numbers of people that I was with when I was away from my house and still we are waiting for a conclusion on the 8th of March. Funny how they requested a list of the goods that are in my house after the fact, how is that going to help after being victim of a break in? Is this another case of Old Mutual whereby I have to drag a dead body to their offices to get some relief? I have been asked all sorts of invasive questions and requests and I have comp**** as unreasonable as they have been, even your investigator was surprised, however it appears that it is just too hard to honour an agreement that me the insured and FNB the insurer agreed upon.
