FNB Insurance ****

FNB Insurance is theee worst insurance ever.

I lodged my 1st claim for a shuttered window on the 27th July 2026 after being insured with them since 2023 with no claim , proceeded to add a 2nd vehicle in 2025.

My claim on the 27th July was lodged in the morning on a Monday and was advised it has been authorised and service provided appointed and the matter is being treated with the utmost urgency as it is a window. Later that afternoon phoned the service provider as it was almost COB and they haven’t called me. They advised that they hadn’t received the Auth letter but they took down my details so they can setup a profile whilst waiting for the letter and advised that the lead time for the part was 3-5 working days.

Fast forward Wednesday the 29th I make a follow up call to the service provider to find out if the window has been ordered? Only to find that the Authorisation was still not received. I called FNB claims only to find that the claim wasn’t finalised. Meanwhile I’m sitting without a car.

The lady then says my apologies ma’am I’m authorising it now , I insisted on stay on the call till I receive copy of the same. Then the Auth comes through only for them to authorise a generic glass and service provider contacts me to advise me of this and that they don’t deal with generics as they order directly from the vehicle manufacturer. Which causes another delay. The proper Auth then comes through on the Thursday. Now we are on day 4 since claim was lodged but no part was ordered. The auth came through only covering the glass and not the smash and grab “apparently wasn’t covered upon inception of the cover.

Then I logged a complaint and requested a copy of the sales call. Over 2 weeks I’ve been sent the incorrect sales call 3 times and I’ve called and emailed to say the call is incorrect. Mind you they made me sign documents to retrieve the call and they first had to vet the call before sharing it with me. Tell me what they vetted when the call is wrong?
