FNB Insurance delays in resultant damage repairs

On or around early November 2024, my geyser started overflowing, and I promptly lodged a claim with FNB Insurance. The claim was approved, and the replacement of the geyser was undertaken on 15 November 2024, after I paid the required excess amount. At the time of lodging the claim, I explicitly informed FNB Insurance of the potential resultant damage to my home due to the water leakage.

Between December 2024 and February 2025, I received multiple calls from an FNB Insurance agent who assured me that the resultant damage repairs would be arranged following a proper assessment. Despite several delays, the assessment was finally scheduled for 14 February 2025. During the assessment, the contractor informed me that the repairs could only proceed once they received formal approval from FNB Insurance.

Since then, there has been no further communication or action from FNB Insurance regarding the repairs, even though more than 3 months have passed since the initial incident and subsequent geyser replacement. The prolonged delay has caused unnecessary inconvenience and potential deterioration of my property, which I believe is unacceptable given the urgency of the matter.
