FNB Insurance Brokers

On the 24 January 2015 my laptop accidentally fell at home and was damaged (the screen had black lines on it). On the 26 January 2015O Informed the insurance company of what happened.I received forms to fill in and was requested to obtain a damage report and quotation for the repair.I took the laptop to a reputable computer shop on the 31 January 2015, they advised me that they would need to charge me R350 for labour for opening the laptop and finding out what the problem was. Further to this they informed that they also needed R200 to obtain a quotation letter, which the FNB also required. I could not afford to pay this cost as I had other commitments for that month. On the 11 March 2015 I took the laptop to get the quotation done (I had the R550 to do so), however my vehicle was broken into and the laptop and other items were ******.I went to the police station and obtained a case number. When reporting the incident they advised me that the laptop was not specified, and they rejected my claim. I have correspondence with the employee who told me to get a quotation-no mention was made about me needing to specify the laptop to obtain a quote. This is ridiculous.FNB should be liable.
