FNB: Inconsiderate and poor form

On Saturday 29tuh September 2018 around 8:45am I arrived at the FNB branch at the 14th Avenue District Centre (Constantia Kloof) to close my account after suffering many instances of ********** transactions(R99, R109, R115) against my account. In the past year I had gone so far as to have FNB close my previous account and create a new account to try to avoid these transactions to no avail so after struggling again with these transactions I decided to close my account with FNB indefinitely. I was helped by one of the constant s but was unable to get the payout of the final amount remaining in my account because they were having issues with the tellers that morning so they took down my number and said they would call me once the issues were resolved. At 12:20 that same day I received a call from the consultant saying the issues were resolved and I could come back to the bank to retrieve my accounts payout. I arrived at the bank at 12:35 only to be told that the tellers had already closed earlier. Appalling service from the bank, the fact that I had to drive all way back to the bank from home for no apparent reason is not only inconsiderate but is a sign that the consultants themselves are not aware of their own operating hours that they would call a client to return to the bank for a service that was not even open. I do not regret closing the account and would definitely not recommend the use of FNB as a bank if this is how they conduct themselves. As a long standing client of FNB I have only left to say, "For Shame" and good riddance FNB.
