FNB - How can we **** you further because we cannot help
FNB – HOW CAN WE HELP YOU??
Since 2nd November 2022 I have come to the realization that FNB have got absolutely no idea what their values and slogan mean. I was always under the impression that FNB strive to fulfil their promise to customers by asking, “How can we help you” However in reality FNB should consider changing their slogan to “How can we **** you further” as this is the only thing they do within all of their call centres. My vehicle were ****** from my house on the 1st November 2022 from Eldoriagne in Centurion together with my vehicle my wallet were ****** which had my Private Clients Credit card plus my private client cheque card, and my two companies business debit cards in. Credit card confirmed cancelled 8th November according to FNB. ALL these cards have been used at various Sanral tollgates to which FNB’s response is always that Sanral uses an offline system. After numerous calls to their *********** call centres asking what should I do in order to stop these cards from working at toll gates I was told that they should be added to the so called “hot list” this was done in the first week of November (by this time there had already been multiple transactions) on my card from toll gates. The process to add cards to this “hot list” is a waiting game, FNB will email another department to request the specific card be put on the hot list please note this can take 2 – 3 days during which time your cards can still be used and there is nothing you can do to prevent this. Eventually my credit card stopped working, by this time transactions started going of on my cheque card, again I followed the same procedure to get my cheque and two business debit cards on the hotlist (and received a CR case number) and reported the ********** transactions, which were then added to my existing ***** case. Soon thereafter, both different business debit cards started showing sanral transactions on my transaction history the transaction started 6th November 2022 and lasted till 19th November 2022 at which time I call the *********** call centre again and again these transactions were added to my existing ***** case and I was assured that NO transcation will be able to go off ANY of my accounts because all cards have been blocked and hot listed ref number: RM*** Low and behold that on 16th December I went through my bank statements and see several sanral transactions processed on my Credit Card which was the first one I cancelled and hot listed. As we speak I am on the phone with FNB again (probably my 50th call to FNB) as the latest transaction adds up to exactly R626,50 all in all I have lost over R2000 from all ********** transactions (who would know what the total bank costs associated with these transactions is which will never be refunded. Important to note: Together with my FNBcards that was ****** my ABSA debit card and Capitec cards were ****** and once cancelled not a single transcation went of these accounts as ABSA and capitec assured me that when a card is cancelled it cannot be used in any other way not even on Sanral offline system – HOW CAN THIS BE DONE BY CAPITEC AND ABSA BUT NOT BY FNB – the anser – FNB is the ****tiest bank and they truly life up the their moto – How can we **** our clients further. Even ********** transactions have bank costs associated with them which is never refunded so FNB still make money, and now I understand why it is in FNB’s best interest not to resolve these issues. It’s part of their business model. Please note: Phoning FNB ***** on *** will bring you absolutely no joy – it will cost you money to make the call and holding on for an hour to get to an agent. I would like to thank FNB for the following: FNB has successfully proven that they are not able to help their clients. It’s my opinion that there is someone working inside FNB together with the ******* and keep on removing my cards from the hot list. I have had no joy, I must admit all agents are very friendly but friendly but friendly is costing me a money. FNB is the worst bank in the world. What is the point of cancelling ****** cards???? They still work. FNB they issuing authority are unable to stop them from working – how is this possible? How many more times must I phone FNB to report new ***** cases??? Once this compliant is logged and filed FNB will phone me apologizing – please note: I do not want your ****ing aplogies – I want to hear “Its been resolved” how I don’t care, is there any person at FNB who can or is willing to actually doing their job. It’s clear FNB’s encourages ******* practices by knowingly having a flawed security model. For existing FNB credit card users using Virtual Cards please note the following: FNB’s virtual cards CVV number changes every hour but these CVV numbers stay active, so if you use your virtual card once with a certain CVV number for an online purchase the merchant can put another transaction through your card using the same CVV number although your card show a different CVV number. This tell me that old CVV numbers are stored somewhere and as long you use one which have already been used the transaction will be processed. I invite any FNB technical person to prove me wrong. What is the point of the virtual card as this defies the point. The practices described above is pure theft from clients. FNB doesn’t even know what they preach everyday, how can we help you, if only they understood their own slogan. Jaco Du Plessis ***
