"FNB- HOW CAN WE RUIN YOU" BE CAREFUL WHO YOU CHOOSE

Regretting shifting my motor vehicle insurance to FNB insurance. Going on a month now since an accident that required my car to be towed. The invasion of privacy that I have been put through cause they want to "validate" the accident has been draining to be honest. Someone approved my claim, I get the news via the panel beaters. I ask my insurance whether this is how they conduct business, should I prepare myself for 3rd party communications and not getting information directly from my service provider? It was like I hit a nerve by asking that, the qoute approval was cancelled and I was about to experience what it is like to be investigated. The poor lady had to retract her qoute approval email, the insurance company clearly told her to retract - amazing right? Never been in a big accident before however this seems to be on some FBI most wanted list investigations level, been running around giving evidence, pointing out scenes and being interviewed like a ********. 1st was asked for my bank statement to prove that I pay for my car regularly, my insurance company that I pay every month without fail wanted to know if I pay my car regularly, really? How is that any if your business? I am getting quite annoyed with this whole process and for people to tell me that I was randomly chosen for the "validation." It is all nice when you take my money every month however when it comes to claim stage I have to jump hoops to get the service that I pay for every month. "How can you ruin me FNB."

What a rollercoaster!!! Been more than a month since my accident, the investigations are ongoing. Could be wrong but should insurance take this long at claim stage FNB? Imagine if I skipped a couple of payments then tried to claim. Was called by FNB insurance after my 1st post and all the promises made are yet to be fullfilled, the investigators are requesting more information today the 7th of July after I made it very clear that I need to know all the info they need so I can send it and we can move this along, this was made very clear from the very 1st call I recieved however who I'm I? I clearly do not matter, I can be inconvinienced as they wish. I requested information from the insurer, this was supposed to be sent via email after the call from FNB insurance, the updates that were supposed to be sent are stuck somewhere in the Pacific, they have been shipped for a trip around the world in the slowest boat available. I have sent everything that was required, I am supposed to take the hired car back today because FNB insurance cannot extend my car hire because I chose 30 days hire instead of paying more for a 60 day car hire. Is the delay my fault? Quite reasonable to think it cannot take more than 30 days to finalise an accident claim, lessons learned. I have a car that the insurance is taking forever to fix, I have to Uber around after today cause of the delays caused by my insurance and the investigators. Looks like the insurance is really leaving no Stone unturned to deny my claim.

MY CLAIM NIGHTMARE WITH FNB INSURANCE CONTINUEST: Today marks 2 months without my car. The FNB insurance appointed investigators had to be pushed to finalise their report and it was only approved 2 weeks ago. The authorisation was sent to the incorrect panel beaters, yep, you read that correctly, the incorrect panel beaters so that added another two weeks as we stand now, I recieved an email this morning from the panel beaters informing me of another delay so all in all I will be going into a 3rd month without my car while the insurance is just collecting premiums, how lovely for them - maybe I shoul skip a month or two? Looks like I will have my car back in end August / early September as per panel beaters feedback, thank you very much FNB insurance, I will be in touch soonest. Meantime I will just gave to spend more money renting cars as I cannot make a living without a car.
