FNB – How can we NOT help you - ARRANGEMENTS ARE MEANINGLESS
First National Bank – How can we NOT help you
ARRANGEMENTS ARE MEANINGLESS
What is the point of making arrangements with your bank if it is a complete waste of time? The slogan ‘HOW CAN WE NOT HELP YOU’ suites FNB much better, FNB actually deliver exactly what they say then.
On 2 March 2018 I called FNB on ********** 751regarding my account to make the necessary arrangements with FNB not to return my debit orders until Monday. Monday morning at 11:16 I called the same number to extend the arrangement from Monday to Wednesday. I explained to Masechaba that my clients only paid me today and would like her to keep the account in arrear, NOT returning my debit orders, until the money is reflecting in my account which will be by no later than Wednesday whereby she agreed. (Which was not necessary because I received payment later the same day). She asked me to please send the proof of payment from my client to confirm this. At 11:33 I received an SMS that all of my debit orders have been returned.
When I called back she was not available for the rest of the day. I was charged R 310 for each debit order to be kept in excess, and another R 185 for each debit order returned. TOTAL R 990-00 excluding any other bank charges. This is completely unacceptable. Can FNB please explain why they are not assisting their clients, or better at least keep to the arrangements that they agreed with. Is this because it is ‘easy money’ which they ***** from clients so they can at least stay in business? I honestly believe that this was done because of pure spitefulness, and the fact that they do not want to assist in any way.
My re instatement on my One account was also declined, according to the email received by FNB that two judgments were against my name. I was shocked in ORR, and obtained a Trans Union report, which shows no judgment at all. This clearly shows the help and assistance again from the bank with the best slogan HOW CAN WE NOT HELP YOU.
FNB are good for one thing, charging for NO ASSISTANCE.
