FNB - How can we not help you

FNB has deserted their brand promise. Instead of saying "How can we help you" they have turned me right around and sent me to their call center channel when I approached the bank on various issues I could not solve by using their electronic channels.

This resulted in 2 different branches not succeeding in assisting me apply for my Business Card renewal in 6months. I first approached Waterfront's branch in Bloemfontein, then Langenhovenpark branch.

At the end of the 6Months Selente from Southern Centre branch succeeded in uncovering the root cause of the issue as a personal & business profile issue. And this branch assisted me in applying for the card using my online banking login. But having solved that FNB still sent me a Petrol card instead of a Business card.

The service received from FNB in solving this issue has been worse than the service in the Telecommunications industry.

This caused me to review the 7year relationship with my business bank. I realised that at key points in my business FNB failed to assist with credit to grow the business. Even through my relational banker to his shame admitted that I did qualify.

FNB has now lost me as a brand advocate and as a customer.
