FNB - How can we help you? Really?
It is now 18 October 2021 and FNB Customer Care still have not addressed my complaint lodged on 1 October, repeated 11 and 15 October. FNB have however sent me the same computer generated reply apologising twice in the same reply and stating that the compliant has been escalated - again not once but twice.
Just shows how much FNB care about their clients. Especially a client who has had a card with FNB (originally Barclays) since 1978 - 43 years!
As I stated in my last review update - I am retired so have plenty of time on my hands. I will not stop writing reviews until I have been addressed by a human.... and my complaint resolved to my satisfaction.

18 Oct 2021, 15:35Well, well, well. It seems that having been a client for 43 years does resonate with FNB! At 14h38 on 18.10.2021 I received a clear call from Mr. Chad ***X from FNB. Our call lasted until 15h12.
Chad explained, as best he could, FNB procedures and card activation processes, including Bullet 1 "Activate your card" Option 3, included under their offering on the pamphlet that accompanies the card, namely, "OR Call the number on the back of your card" - in my case the number is ***. Simply put Option 3 does not work!
Thank you Chad for your courtesy and time. No thanks to Hesi and Taryn ***X - the latter who sent an email bearing her name telling me "Please note that this email serves as acknowledgement of your complaint, I will contact you shortly to assist regarding your complaint". This email was received 1 October at 2.45PM. How many days since I received that email? Well Taryn contacted me at 15h25 this afternoon - standard 'apology' and explaining that the email is a template. Oh well - I guess the apology also appears on a template!
Again thank you Chad.
